Post Falls at Lake City 1-12-10 Post Falls came into Lake City High School minus Tori Davenport, a key spark plug in the Trojan engine. Her collision with teammate Katelyn Loper recently kept her out of the game. She was with the team in warm-ups, and judging by the look on her face, and as a testament to her competitiveness, she looked PISSED that she could not play. But Loper is a huge talent, so I just didn't know what was going to happen.
The LCHS coaches made maybe the best call I have ever seen. They put Sydney Big-Eyes Butler on her. The rest of the team played in some type of zone defense. It seemingly made a 4 on 4 game when Post Falls had the ball. Big-Eyes stayed between Loper and the ball all the time. If Loper stayed on the defensive end of the court, so did Butler. Had to be frustrating. There were just a few times Loper broke free and to me this was how Lake City dominated from the beginning.
Can't wait to see the next meeting between these two teams!
