**** Frequently Asked Questions ****
* How many
hours of photography do you provide?
We
like to start formal pictures 2 hours before the wedding to allow enough time to
photograph the Bride and Groom, the wedding party and families. We
use a check list, that you provide, to help assure that we photograph all the
people you want us to photograph.
Then
we photograph the wedding.
When
done in a timely manor, we photograph the reception; toasts, cake cutting, bride
and groom first dance and parent dances, garter and bouquet throwing.
If
possible, we like to photograph the bride and her girls getting their
hair/makeup done before the wedding.
We
also want to photograph the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the day
before.
We
also like to photograph other wedding related events.
* What other
wedding related events do you like to photograph?
Time
and schedule permitting, we like to go to your dress fitting and photograph that
if your dress company allows it. Your wedding shower is also a fun time that can
provide photographic memories.
* Is an engagement
session included in the price?
Yes,
it can be if you want one. Try to schedule your engagement session at least 3
months prior to your wedding.
* Does Prairie
Photography use film or digital?
Prairie Photography is 100 percent digital using professional camera and
computer technology.
* How and when do
we see our pictures?
You
will have your own password protected, on-line Wedding Gallery. Prairie
Photography will make every attempt to have your gallery up within 4 weeks of
your wedding. Some images will end up as black and white, any of them can be
converted to black and white.
* How are your
picture packages priced and structured?
Images
are priced per image. There is no minimum amount or combination of prints you
have to purchase except for wallet sized prints which come in units of either 4
or 8.
* Who chooses what
images get in the wedding book?
Prairie
Photography arranges your wedding pictures to tell your wedding story. Images
that are less story telling are moved to the back of the book. But, all of the
images that are available for purchase on-line will be in your wedding book.
* I have
“Prairie Print Credits” in my Prairie Eagle package. What is that?
For
the “Prairie Eagle” package only, you receive 50 Prairie Print Credits. You
must order these from Tom or Suzan in writing. Here is how the Prairie Print
Credits break down: 4X6 = 1 credit, 5X7 = 1 credit, 8X10= 4 credits, 11X14 = 6
credits, 16X20 = 12 credits.
* How many
pictures will be in my book?
There
is no magic number of wedding and wedding related images. Image quantity varies
depending on factors such as the size of the wedding party and how many
pre-wedding events Prairie Photography can photograph. Wedding books average
100-125 images. Yours could have more, or less images.
* Is it all right
for relatives and friends to take pictures during the ceremony and pre-wedding
pictures?
Amateurs
with cameras snapping pictures is generally OK with Prairie Photography. But,
they will need to stay out of the way as Prairie Photography’s images will be
the ones in your wedding book.
* Can you pencil
us in?
YES!
But we need a non-refundable retainer to do that. Retainers are half the amount
of the wedding package you choose. The balance is due 30 days prior to your
wedding day. Of course, to help with budgeting, you can always pay the full
amount up front.
